WHAT IS A SHALLOW PAD?
coveout’s story
This company was started to make more people get off the boat and into water. Dylan Gross, the owner, went to school at ISU for mechanical engineering. He has owned multiple boats and experimented with various floating devices, but he never found one that people wanted to use all summer season. Dylan has worked through countless iterations over the past 4 years. This invention allows the water depth to be at range from 1ft to 4ft in depth. This offers a unique experience and opens up a range of activities by freeing up our arms.

frequently asked questions
-
Preorders allow us to determine how many of the outsourced components and raw materials we should order. High quantity orders create price savings and make manufacturing processes more efficient. These combined savings result in a lower product list price.
-
The shallow pad is rated for 4 persons of average adult weight.
-
Floats are attached to the frame. The frame and floats are lowered in to the water. The frame uses an electric actuator to open the frame. The frame pulls the trampoline tight. The floats keep the corners from sinking when users walk on the trampoline. Reverse the process to store device.
-
When opened the trampoline forms a square with sides measuring 82".
When the frame is folded up with outer frame arms extended the volume dimensions are 15.5in×14.75in×64in.
When the frame is folded up and the outer frame arms are retracted the volume dimensions are 15.5in×14.75in×43.5in.
-
Depth is adjusted by clipping the corner floats on a lower ring. There are rings sewn on to the corner tethers. There are 7 ring heights ranging from 9” to 48” in depth settings.
-
The aluminum frame and trampoline assembly weighs approximately 45lbs.
-
The device can be deployed in about 5 minutes. If the floats are stored in their inflated state then the device could be set up in about 2 mins if you were in a rush.
-
The device is close to being neutrally buoyant, but it does achieve its full weight when out of the water. Lifting up on to a high platform dock will be more difficult than on to the back of a low swim deck. Have a plan and ask for help if you are unsure if you can lift it out.
-
The battery should be charged once a month and should last for at least 20 uses during that month. Battery should be charged when device is not being used. The device can be charged while in use for emergencies, but it is not recommended. There is a mechanical bypass plan for if the electrical system is unresponsive.
-
The remote is small 1”x2” key fob that is water resistance. The remote has two buttons. The user must hold down the up arrow to make the frame open or fold out. The down arrow button must be held down to make the frame fold up.
